Terms & Conditions

All bookings for our services — including airport pickup and drop-off, self-drive car hire, town transport, and tour drives — must be made in advance through our website, phone, WhatsApp, or email. A booking is only considered confirmed once you receive a confirmation from our team.

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance for airport transfers and town services, and at least 48 hours in advance for self-drive rentals and tour drives. Same-day bookings are subject to vehicle and driver availability.

All bookings are confirmed upon payment of a 20% deposit of the total service fee. The deposit secures your reservation and guarantees vehicle and driver availability for your scheduled date and time.

The remaining 80% balance is payable before or after your trip, as agreed upon at the time of booking. Payment methods include mobile money, bank transfer, and cash. Specific payment instructions will be provided during the booking confirmation process.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the service will receive a 50% refund of the deposit.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service, or no-shows, will result in forfeiture of the full deposit. In exceptional circumstances, we may offer credit toward a future booking at our discretion.

All our vehicles are regularly serviced, cleaned, and maintained to the highest standards to ensure your safety and comfort. For self-drive rentals, the vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank unless otherwise agreed.

Self-drive renters must possess a valid driving license recognized in Uganda. The renter is responsible for any traffic fines, parking tickets, or penalties incurred during the rental period. Any damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear and tear will be assessed and charged accordingly.

For chauffeured services including airport transfers, town transport, and tour drives, our professional drivers will operate the vehicle. All drivers are experienced, licensed, and familiar with Ugandan roads and local languages.

Drivers are expected to adhere to all traffic laws and drive safely at all times. Clients are expected to treat drivers with respect. Any form of harassment, abuse, or unreasonable behavior toward our drivers will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

My Driver UG takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and comfort of our clients. However, we shall not be held liable for delays, losses, or damages arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: traffic congestion, road closures, adverse weather conditions, mechanical failure, or third-party actions.

Clients are advised to secure personal travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. My Driver UG recommends all clients carry appropriate insurance coverage for their journey.
